Dear Dad,

I wondered why you were writing again so soon, but as you say, you are moving, things are changing.

You love people, Dad, I'm sure you got along just fine with all the new guys. But. But, when you were in Eben Ezer, so many years later, you formed strong attachments with the men you had to share a room with. It broke my heart to see you cry each time one of them passed away.

I wish I could talk to someone you spent time with in Reims or Brussels. It would be like getting a chance to have another memory of you.

Happy Easter, Dad. We don't celebrate together anymore - you aren't there to take pictures. It wouldn't be the same.

Love you.
Patti
